*Doodle, Make, Give*

I'm back after a long break full of LiMoBliss! Sorry about the lack of updates.

Today I want to share a wonderful event I was invited to participate in.
The Designer Charity Doodle Wall, hosted by the super talented and lovely designer Rachael Taylor, is a freehand drawing space sponsored by Wallpaperd.com that took place at Rachael's stand during, Top Drawer this week. The best thing about this doodle adventure is that it was a collaboration between lots of talented designers. The final product will be scanned and made into a wallpaper that will be sold with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. How fab is that? I love drawing, and doing it for this cause was a definite LiMoBliss.

I had the pleasure of sharing the wall on the day with major talent like the lovely Louise Gale, and my fabulous sister Ximena Escobar.  I loved that there was a real collaboration with no egos, just people who love to draw having fun. Here are some pics from the day!  Enjoy.

Meet Rosie Martinez-Dekker! This lovely Mexican designer based in Holland was the winner of the LiMoBliss 'Colour Me Happy' competition!
"Bliss in Wheels" won everyone over with its colourful, playful and very sweet story.  Congratulations Rosie.

I don't know about you, but I am officially fed up with the cold and rain. I LOVE the sun, it's a LiMoBliss to feel it on my face. I want it back!
I don't know any sun dances so I've decided to come up with my own ritual to bring out our very own beautiful, warm and glowing star, lets call the sun... by listening to sun related songs!

The breeze in my face, the smell of the fresh trees and the sound of the birds make me extremely happy. Riding my bike brings me tons of joy but also clears my mind for new inspiration for designing.

Hello! LiMoBliss is back after 2 lovely weeks on holiday.  I hope you all had a great Easter break, I had the most fabulous time including a lot of walking, visiting, eating, sleeping, shopping, writing (the LiMoBliss book!!), enjoying... I have added a big bunch of LiMoBlisses to my life.  Here is a little taste of the past couple of weeks.

Encountered incredible nature

Visited a Beautiful place Kew Gardens

Stood and watched Florence and the Machine in magical awe at the wonderful Royal Albert Hall.

Bad photo, but this is how close I was.  She reminded me of one of Mucha's beautiful paintings.

Went to a very cool art exhibition by Philip Gurrey at an even cooler venue, Basement Arts Project!

It is too often that you hear people talk about their plans of going away, having adventures, doing what they love. It is rare to see someone actually taking the plunge, leaving everything, stepping out of their comfort zones and into their dreams.

Here is a great example! For months I heard my friend Matt talk a about that next adventure he was going to go on, travelling was the only thing on his mind.  It took preparations, separations, resignations and courage.  Only last week he reached Everest base camp after a 24 day track by himself! :) how cool is that?

Calling all Creatives

Here at LiMoBliss we love to support art, design and creativity.  In this year's first competition we would like to invite everyone who is an artist, designer, illustrator or loves to create to make a piece of art expressing one of their LiMoBlisses!

Need ideas?  It could be anything from walking in the rain, dancing with your eyes closed, cooking a meal, being in love... anything in your life which you cherish as a Little Moment of Bliss!  You can represent this in an illustration, a pattern, a painting, anything  you want.

Once you've finished it, all you have to do it send it as a jpeg image tolimobliss@gmail.com along with a small caption about you and your work.
The deadline to send your image is Friday the 20th of April

Five finalists will be chosen and posted on the blog for everyone to vote for.  The final winner will get a mini interview feature on LiMoBliss and will be featured on my Thursday post on the globally loved Rachael Taylor Designs blog.

I really enjoyed making yesterdays Cheer-me-up playlist!  Your job on the upcoming two day holiday is to create a playlist on your iPod (or whatever audio device you've got)!

1. Call it LiMoBliss

2. Choose music that makes you smile

3. Do not put more than one song from one same artist (resist the temptation)

4.  Try not to add sentimental songs, preferably uptempo and jolly.

5. Grab some headphones and go out for a walk with the playlist as your soundtrack.

For todays LiMoBliss Poll I asked people what they listened to when they wanted to cheer up. Music is a wonderful energiser, it can take you on an emotional roller coaster. Wether it makes you dance, wiggle, hum, tap or sing at the top of your lungs, songs can make us very happy for a few minutes.
