*Autumn*

A leaf fell on my head today, then
Urgently ten followed.
Then suddenly in reds and orange, I sunk
Under a pile.  I shook and jumped to
Move away, and smiled in bewilderment
Now leaves were flying everywhere
In bliss for their acknowledgement
so to encourage such delight, and
Have a bit more fun, I
Elevated them again, I whirled and twirled and
Ran. I wish I could've stayed all day and
Eventhough I didn't, I left them in a pile, for someone else to see them.

PS! This is the last weekend to send your LiMoBliss Competition entry, the 5 finalists will be announced on monday. submit your here.

*Game*

Lets play a game!!! I've had this song in my head all day and I think I need to do something about it! SO, I'm going to write the first verse of the chorus here.  ;
Your challenge... take the last word of my song and write another bit of a song starting with this word as a comment.  The next person will grab the last word of that song and continue with a different song, get it?  Lets see what we can come up with?  enjoy! Here's an example

" As soon as I wake up, every night, every day, I know that it's you I need, to take the blues away. It must be love love love..."

"love rock and roll, so put another dime in the
jukebox baby..."

"baby I love your way, everyday yeah, I wanna tell you I love your way, I wanna be with you night and day..."

Your turn....

*Crochet*

Hello everyone!! Hope you're having a fantastic week! Last month I celebrated my 30th birthday! I loved it, had a fantastic time, a day full of LiMoBliss.  I also got got lots of brilliant presents and this had got to be one of my favourites.  Not only is it handmade but it's a great crochet version of me!

It was made by my friend and super talented Crochet artist Jemma Lane.  She might think I'm exagerating because it's "just a hobbie" but I have have seen her make some brilliant creations.  She has made everything from a lion, a donkey, aviator hats etc. Here's a little bit about her.

If you like these and would like a personalised mini you or a present for a friend, you can contact Jemma here.  The are all super cute and make incredible presents!

*Remember*

Hello! Did you have a good weekend?  Today's LiMoBliss is a trip down memory lane! Did you grow up in the 80's?  I did, do you remember all the cool toys you had?  Here's a little challenge.  Have a look at the video to see how many of these toys you remember or owned.  I actually counted more than 20! (thanks mum and dad!! ) If you were born in the 90's or later, enjoy making fun of our toys!

*Cafe*

Hey everyone! there are a few days left of the LiMoBliss competition! I have received some brilliant photographs of moments of happiness. If you still want to participate but don't know what to submit, here is another idea (my very own LiMoBliss) plus a little poem.
Coffee makes me happy!  Not only am I a proud Colombian, but there is something about a warm cup of coffee that is just so relaxing and cosy.  I have been taking photos of the coffees I've drank for the past couple of weeks. I will continue to do so and update you later.  For now, have a look!

Join and share a minute spare
it works like this: a LiMoBliss
can be a photo, painting drawing
it's really easy so get going.
A coffee cup, a funny thing
a holiday, a diamond ring.
a special someone, Mr right
a little gift after a fight.
Something you've made
or worn or bought
a film, a book, a meal a thought!

The prize is a beautiful print by designer Ximena Escobar, just click here to enter the competition. All you need to do is attach your entry to an email.  Have a lovely weekend!  Love Moni!

*Express*

Hello!  Hope you're having a good week!  I would like to introduce Rachael Taylor! She is super talented and the loveliest designer you will ever meet (she was actually named  Twitter's Happiest person in the UK).
I bet a lot of you have seen her designs on cards and beautiful kitchenware around the shops.  She's got a very colourful and joyful aesthetic.  I love her quirky style and the mixture of doodle style illustration and organic shapes.  I have the pleasure of working with her (I write the Thursday post on her blog) and seeing her business grow and I am 100% convinced all her success is due to all of her hard work, talent and her great positive, friendly and passionate attitude towards what she does.  Her job is one big LiMoBliss to her, which not everyone can say about theirs.

Rachael has just launched her very own e-course called The Art and Business of Surface pattern Design.  E-courses are all the rage at the moment as they allow you the perfect opportunity to learn a skill in your own time, in the comfort of your own home for a reasonable price.  This particular one is a great chance to start a career in surface pattern design.  Divided into 3 modules, you will learn the ins and outs of being a surface pattern designer through the guidance of Rachael's knowledge and expertise.
I totally recommend that you try it out and tell your friends about it! It is going to be Amazing!

For more info on Rachael's work, visit her website and be sure to check out her blog which is updated with fun inspiring news about the design world every day.

Thank you to Rachael for answering my questions! And helping me out from the start!  See you all tomorrow!

*Play*

One of the translations of playing when you have grown up is doing random things!  In this case going somewhere random.  I actually went to the Pencil Museum in Keswick in the Lake District this weekend. Random? VERY but I actually had a LiMoBliss when I got to play with lots of colouring pencils. Here's a photo of what I painted.  Hope you have a wonderful week!

ps: Remember there are 10 days left of the LiMoBliss competition!

*Beauty*

Everyone wishes they were as beautiful as their grandmother *Lia will be remembered like this*

Everything that's BeautyFULL
is a collaboration
it's when your heart tells your eyes
"use your imagination"
and when that great translation
shoots straight up to your brain
In that which you see beauty
there's love with no restrain.

*Sing*

This is what I wish for ALL THE TIME!  (Press play and sing along)
Love this song! Have a happy day! Love Moni!

"i wanna go where the summer never ends
with my guitar on the beach there with all my friends. The suns so hot and the waves in motion, and everything smells like sun tan lotion. The ocean, and the girls so sweet, so kick off your shoes and relax your feet. They say that miracles are never seizing and every single soul needs a little releasing the sterio bumpin till the sun goes down and i only wanna hear that sound"

*Dream*

Dreaming is such a lovely thing! All these wild winds have inspired me to dream about blowing away into a blissful land.  Check out the beautiful "Sleep Elevations" photographs by Maia Flore.  Don't you just wish these were real modes of transport?
Always remember to leave some time for daydreaming.  Have a lovely day!

*Fun*

Tuesday! Brighten your day with a bit of fun!
My friends and I have been laughing about this video for days.  It's what I call a "sticky" song, because it sticks to your brain and you will sing it all day long! Just don't suddenly yelp out "buttery biscuit base" in a room full of people when they all go quiet (like I did last week).
Enjoy!

*Paint*

Art!  So much more than the movement of a hand holding a pencil, brush, colour.  Art expresses feelings, enhances beauty and translates imagination.  For all of you who do it, Art is a massive LiMoBliss!
This is the work of my favourite artist,  Elodie!
She is from France and does work all over the world. Her illustrations are absolutely gorgeous!  You HAVE to get your portrait done by her, they are so beautiful and cool. She's also had her illustrations made into brilliant stationary and accesories

I would love to say thanks to Elodie for giving me a massive LiMoBliss and answering my first interview for LiMoBliss, nothing better than a talented and genuinely nice person.

I was really lucky to get one of her prints as a birthday present which is now the main attraction at the LiMoBliss headquarters.

*Love*

moni+james by Terrordome

Nothing is impossible, especially LOVE ,  a little poem for an exciting love story:

The world is a big place
a big rounded sphere
I could be there
while you were right here
But fate is a little bird
flying above,
distances shorten
and there's room for love.

*Make a Stranger Laugh*

Sometimes when you're feeling grumpy, a stranger is the only one who can make you smile.  I find that a smile, like a yawn is contagious, that's why when I bumped into this initiative last week I absolutely loved it!
Created by Emma Patterson and Chris Cape, the aim is to change the mood In grumpy London on the first Week of October.  It is simple, all you have to do it make a stranger smile.  How? Any way you can think of, document it if you can and send it.  Hopefully it will create a ripple effect of grins to last till next year.  Visit their website for more information.  For now here is a little video of the basic idea.  Enjoy it, join in, and make a stranger smile... maybe two.

*If you're not in London and want to take part, why not post some ideas on how to make strangers laugh on the comment section?

Hola hola!  I have received some wonderful entries to the LiMoBliss competition so far. I have also had some questions about people worried that they are not artists, can't draw and wouldn't know what to send.  So I decided to put together a few images and examples of captured LiMoBliss.

Remember all you have to do to enter is click here and attach your image to the file.  The 5 finalists will be announced on September the 30th! The Winner will get a fantastic Print by Designer Ximena Escobar. Good luck!

*Dance*

Hello Hello! Some people claim that they don't like to dance.  I think they mean they don't like to dance in public! Dancing is a LiMoBliss (LONG moment of bliss), It's been with us since the beginning of our evolution.  Here's a wonderful recount of 100 years of Style shown through dance! I love it! Enjoy!

*Read*

I love the feeling of sinking into a book so much that it accompanies you and meanders in your thoughts as a part of your daily life.  Finding a book you love is a definite LiMoBliss.  I have recently had the time to do a lot of reading and have found some amazing stories.
Today I would love to recommend "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.   This is a wonderful story about African American Maids in Mississippi in the 1960's.  It narrates a plan created by a courageous woman to tell "the help's" point of view through a book.  It is witty, real, funny and so authentic.  I completely recommend that you read it as it guarantees loads of LiMoBliss.  It has been adapted to a film which will premier in the UK in October.  So get reading because you know that the book is almost always better than the film!
Have a wonderful Monday!

Ode to Sunshine

I'd like to continue a tradition I had in my CupOfTea blog where I wrote a little poem after every post.  So Friday will be poem day.  I hope you like them!!
September is here and there a only a few days left of one of the things that makes me the happiest in life and fills a day with LiMoBliss... Sunshine!  I have come to believe that I operate on solar energy, do you feel the same?
Remember to keep sending the images for the LiMoBliss competition and have a wonderful weekend!

Bye Bye Sun

If i was an animal, I'd be a bear
have fun under the sun
be free without a care
then for a few months
chill out and hibernate
in my cave have a siesta
then come out and celebrate.

So long, fare well
until we meet again
my nose will miss
the freckles it's obtained.

Have fun looking out
to the other side of earth
we'll miss your warmth
but the wait will sure be worth.
